Major projects completed

  • Completed PSA/Public Education Program contract
  • Produced and submitted first run of radio creative
  • First draft of Volunteer Maine Annual Report: Layout, design, written pieces
  • Produced Volunteer Fare monthly newsletter
  • Webpage and creative support pieces for Maine Service Instigators grant; promotion through digital platforms
  • Delivered a presentation on the 2018-19 Annual Report to the America's Service Commission Communication Workgroup, made up of public information officers from the different service commissions/organizations across the country

Issues to be aware of

  • National Service Directory: With National Service Day at the Capitol postponed until the Fall, the directory will now be published in August.
  • Size/scope of Annual Report: This is the first year Roche has been given the sole responsibility of working on the report. The report will take priority over most creative projects until completion. There are a good amount of edits that need to be addressed from the first draft.

Major focus of effort in the next month

  • Continued work to produce 16-page Annual Report
  • Collaborating with Communications Task Force to develop Service Instigators Public Service Announcement Campaign utilizing behavior change principles learned at the annual retreat
  • Providing guidance to Press and Media subgroup of AmeriCorps Member Conference planning committee
  • AmeriCorps week coverage of activity
  • Announcing nominations for Governor's Awards for Service and Volunteerism/Youth and Adult Rolls of Honor
  • Preparing and publishing next edition of Volunteer Fare monthly newsletter
