Volunteer Maine hosts the 39th Volunteer Leadership Conference

AUGUSTA – Volunteer Maine will host the 39th annual Maine Volunteer Leadership Conference next week on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at . This year’s theme is is Volunteerism: Embracing Civic Engagement and Stewardship.

Since 1986, organizers of Maine community volunteer efforts have gathered to learn, network, and share thought-provoking discussions with regional and national leaders in the volunteer sector. The conference will feature plenary and breakout sessions covering topics from diversity and inclusion to frameworks for engaging you in service programs.

The Maine Volunteer Leadership Conference (MVLC) is Maine’s only statewide educational event focused on engaging citizens in volunteer service. The conference is organized by Volunteer Maine as part of its professional development for leaders of community volunteer programs.
