Mar 3, 2015 Work Session Notes

Participating:  Mark Hews (Chair), Richard Higgins, Bonnie Bagley, and Pam Zeutenhorst (staff)

Absent:  Janice Daku, Eileen Smart, and Gordon Liu

E&E Task Force Structure Revisions

Potential Maine Service Enterprise Initiative Committee discussed.  Concern to keep meetings (Task Force & any subcommittees) meaningful & productive.  Some meeting format options suggested: 1) Structure agenda so attendees may leave meeting early if the full agenda does not interest them; 2) Alternate subcommittee meetings with E&E sessions; and 3) Any subcommittees meet on as needed basis determined by the subcommittee.

Consensus to form a Service Enterprise subcommittee after E&E Task Force is updated on the Service Enterprise (SE) Municipal Model.

Regional Service Enterprise Hub selection/continuation process

Staff recommendation for E&E Task Force to serve as review and monitoring body for SE Regional Hubs.  Similar to Grants Task Force, E&E would review SE Regional Hub applications and make recommendations to the full Commission.

Staffing update provided.
