Public Information & Education Task Force

December 11, 2018

Present: Dave Burns, Maryalice Crofton, Doug Horner, Jamie Logan, John Portela, Maria Staples, Jenni Tilton-Flood

  • January 5th Day of Service and MCCS role in promotion

Maryalice explained the request from Governor-elect Mills for MCCS to help coordinate a day of service for January 5th. The gubernatorial team will be handling creation of the website and initial press. MCCS will share information about volunteer opportunities through social media.

  • Infographic Comments/Feedback for Maryalice

Task force members should email any feedback that they have to Maryalice. The goal is for the infographic to be available for distribution with the legislative letter from Celeste early in the session.

  • Identity Statement/Key Message

Task Force members decided that the key message is fine the way it is.

  • MCCS press releases

Maryalice has requested that task force members try to find a volunteer to help with press releases as there has been a delay in sending them out due to staffing shortage at MCCS. In the meantime, Jamie is willing to draft releases and if she cannot take one on then John will jump in.
