Major projects completed:

  • Created, amended and updated contracts in Advantage for Learning Works, Colby College, Healthy Acadia, Alfond Youth Center, Kennebec Valley Community Action Program, Maine Development Foundation, Colby College, Trekkers, and the Greater Portland Council of Governments for the 2020-2021 grant cycle
  • Monthly TA meeting grants officer updates and reminders
  • Meeting with Maine Partnership for Environmental Stewardship to discuss program modifications under the current pandemic conditions
  • Began the creation of a simplified virtual library for AmeriCorps Program Directors for Virtual Orientation Templates which guides their required training and provides multiple engaging activities revolved around compliance
  • One on one training for Maine Development Foundation staff regarding eGrants enrollment and site location listings  
  • One on one assistance to GPCOG’s new Program Director to get them up to speed since they missed the Summer training
  • Ongoing review and approval of Grantee Progress Reports (GPR’s) in OnCorps  
  • Preparation, planning and rehearsal for the 2nd Maine AmeriCorps Virtual recruitment: 'Choose Service' info session given on behalf of Main Street Skowhegan, Seeds of Hope, Learning Works, GPCOG, MEAP and Healthy Acadia in the hope of boosting recruitment efforts

Issues to be aware of:

  • KVCAP member issue is still unresolved, which involves a member that served but was not properly enrolled, a corrective action plan will be issued

Major focus of effort for the next month:

  • Reviewing and approving Quarterly reporting, to include Grantee Progress Reports, financial reports, and reimbursement requests in order to prepare for end of October Federal reporting
  • Collaborating and assisting the VM Communications Officer, and the Development Associate with strategies to increase recruitment and awareness of AmeriCorps presence in Maine
  • Interviewing and coaching AmeriCorps Program Directors in an on demand Virtual Recruitment effort aimed to increase awareness of their AmeriCorps program and to aid in their member recruitment
  • RFP process and the continuation review for Learning Works (Competitive)
